Horse Bazaar Newsletter March 2006

Digital Fringe
Melbourne Fringe has approached Horse Bazaar to conceive and run the new Digital Fringe. It’s an exciting web based digital arts extravaganza that is connected to Melbourne through site specific streaming, we are after screens grand and small, public and private, beautiful and ugly. We already have Federation Square screens and the iHubs bollards that are scattered around Melbourne as well as our very own MPU (mobile projection unit) organized by Jonathan Chong (Stembase), which will be involved in many an escapade.

If you want to get involved drop us a line, we are open for ideas and content.
Melbourne Fringe 27th September to October 15th.

Looney Tunes: 3rd Thursday of every month

Cartoon influenced music and animations on the screen.
This month we have a great selection of old animations from the forties, think propaganda, think lewd, don’t think just drink.

Gaming: Tuesday nights
We have uncovered an old Atari in the basement, Pacman 1982 is as deliciously moronic now as it was then. We have a large selection of games, so come down and play.

Pong On: Last Sunday of every month
The inaugural horse bazaar Pong On competition – was held on Sunday. Declan ‘D-cups’ Kelly came from abysmal recent form to nail all those that came before him. His victory not only gave him that delicious feeling of beating people but also a ticket to the gold medal commonwealth games match. We will put a full report on the horse bazaar website.
