Welcome to the Horse Bazaar newsletter for another month. Happy Easter long weekend to you all.

At Horse Bazaar we're having an autumn of virtual lighting, send in an image here of your favorite light and receive a couple of free pots. We'll show all the entries on the screens. One per person (to stop the greedy) and they must be redeemed within the week (to stop the overly relaxed).

We have a few freebies this month some more movie tickets to give away and a 2 for 1 ticket deal to the excellent and innovative show Chronicles of a Sleepless Moon, some local screening opportunities at the Emerging Writers Festival, and of course some party fun at the Horse and North Bazaars. Hope to see you on the dance floor at this months extra special The Good the Bad and the Balkan wear your stripes and down some vodka with us.

local calls for content

Emerging Writers Festival - call for screen content.
Festival theme:New Media, Old Media: Storytelling on the big screen.
The Emerging Writers' Festival stimulates the mind and tickles the belly of underground culture. It exists as a counterpoint to all the major writers festivals - critically engaging with the work of emerging writers, performers and artists - those at the edge of the mainstream. New Media, Old Media is a collection of animation, digital visuals and new media art that celebrates the diversity of approaches to an oldest artform: storytelling.
BRIEF:
The Emerging Writers' Festival is compiling a program of material to show on the screens at Fed Square, and it is looking for all sorts of work that connect to the culture, themes & media of the festival (such as underground culture; culturally & linguistically diverse writers; zines, animation, spoken word & text in art ... the list is almost endless).

Content required: The Domino Economy DVD

Earthsharing Australia is looking for digital imagery for an upcoming doco on the modern warfare of economics. We are an NGO interested in the efficient and fair use of resources. Our DIY type DVD will focus on the bare essentials of economics. It's crazy that the majority of society spend their lives chasing the elusive dollar but yet few understand the fundamental economic laws that determine why some can make money in their sleep. Those that do study economics are given a bum steer by a subtle twist in economic theory that downgrades the importance of the earth thanks to the robber barons of the 1880's.
We are looking for a few streamlined pieces, nothing too ritzy. Contact Karl Fitzgerald or 9670 2754 to catch up for a beer at our fave drinking hole...guess where?
